NIGHT AT THE STADIUM

It was this day when she left to fuel up her car and on returning her way back home, the front tire got punctured. She drags the vehicle as much as her bones allowed her and stopped at a point where she was adjacent to a football stadium. By that time, it was dark and the sky was twinkling and the place was strangely quiet and peaceful as if no human being on earth ever existed. She had a stepney but she didn't know how to change the tire so she kept making phone calls to reach someone who could help her.

But surprisingly she noticed that she was losing her mobile signals, one bar after another. She started panicking and the street was pitch black by now. She kept herself in the car and clench the steering wheel and thought of some solution. She felt agitated and decided to march out and fix the tire on her own but again when she looked around it gave her goosebumps out of darkness and silence.

After a couple of hours hopefully waiting for help, she felt the need to use the restroom. But how? She was so afraid to leave the car so she decided to hang on to it but how can it be humanly possible to hold it for more than an hour or so. She looked back and forth and then unlocked the door. Due to the stillness in the environment, she could only hear the unpleasant voice of crickets so far and the squeaky sound the door made when she opened. She stepped out and slowly stands and straightened her back after so long sitting in the car. She saw the stadium and starts walking towards to find the entrance. She was stunned to see the door unlocked beforehand. She was frightened but she couldn't control herself anymore so she hastily looked around for the restroom and fortunately she found one. She tried to find the switchboard to turn on the lights but she couldn't. She found this really strange because such a big football stadium didn't have a switchboard for the restroom. Trying to ignore this uncanny event, she pulled out her phone from her pocket and turned on the flashlight. 

When she was done, she glanced at the lower part of the door and sensed someone walking outside as if waiting for her to come out. The shadow walks strangely right and left. She hastened to wash her up and opens the door and there was no being to be seen at all. She immediately rushed out and to her surprise, she didn't know her way out. What could possibly go wrong at this point? Her hands were shivering and she continue to look back and forth, left and right, and tried to get signals on her phone. Fortunately, she saw 3 bars of network and continue to walk in the direction where she was getting signals. While walking hastily in search of the signals and looking at the screen, she reached a point where she could feel the cool breeze and long grass that was not mowed yet. She looked up and saw herself in the middle of the football ground. She was shocked because when she came in, she didn't pass this area but now she found herself here in the middle of pitch black football ground. She sensed someone whispering her name in a guttural tone.

She paused for a moment and then turned around to see who called her. There at some distance, she saw a spooky figure pointing somewhere. She rotates her head in that direction with horror and her throat dried out and there she saw the door where she first came in through. She didn't care to look back at that figure and start running on the grass towards the door. Unlucky her, she saw that the distance was still the same between her and the door. She was panting by now and started walking slowly towards the door with terror as the long run made her tired. And horrifically, she sensed someone walking behind her at the same pace. She screamed slightly out of fear and cover her mouth with her hands and starts to turn behind. There was no one but when she looked at the grass, it looked crushed as if someone was really walking on it and following her. She turned back around and start running and running till she could lose her breath and sadly she could hear someone running behind her at the same pace again. She continues to run with tears of horror and screamed for help in a horrendous voice.

Finally, she made it to the door and pause for a second to catch her breath up and took a deep breath with a terrorized sound, and run towards her car crying abnormally. She couldn't fix the car key in the keyhole because her hands were trembling out of fear. She rotates her neck and saw that figure again standing at the door staring at her with a tilted neck and it starts reaching her with its feet above the ground. She couldn't believe her eyes and opened the gate of the car and locked it. She again looks at the stadium gate and there was no one. She starts the car and drive as fast as she could. 

The last surprise she got on this terrific night was that the punctured tire was completely fine and the car was running smoothly as it was before.
